Like butterflies, dragonflies go through metamorphosis. Dragonfiles go from an aquatic larva or nymph that sheds its casing several times, finally climbing up on a blade of grass above the water to shed its casing for the last time and emerging as an adult dragonfly.
For this reason, the dragonfly symbolizes transformation, renewal and resurrection in almost every part of the world. With their iridescent wings, dragonflies are also associated with light in many cultures. The dragonfly images that span both sides of the white silk stole are created from a fabric overlaying multiple shimmering dragonfly wings in blue and purple. This is a special stole particularly appropriate for Easter or baptism. Material: Silk w/cotton applique and backing
