OUR STORY & PHILOSOPHY
Sew[i]ng Creations offers the creative work of the daughter-and-mother team of Jennifer and Christine Ng.
Jen is a fabric artist who began quilting in college. She has a Bachelors in Liberal Arts from New College of Florida, with a concentration on Art. She apprenticed under Brenda Grauer of In Stitches and is carrying on the tradition. She recently graduated Nursing School and volunteers as a firefighter and EMT. She is also expecting her first child in August!
Chris is a weaver and an ordained minister in the UCC. She is currently a pastor at First Church of the United Church of Christ Second Life (a church set in virtual reality with members internationally). Who also volunteers as an EMT and Fire Chaplain.
Together they work to create beautiful and functional art that both delights the eye and tells a story. They find inspiration in traditional quilts and tapestries, sacred imagery, and the natural world.
